JUNIOR HIGH ELECTIVES
Each Trimester Students in Grades 7 and 8 usually select a Fine Arts or Physical Education course which meets for a double period on Friday afternoons. These electives give students extended time to learn or improve skills in a particular area. Students meet in small groups with St. Mary Faculty or visiting instructors with expertise in these disciplines or on location.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
St. Mary Student Council consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students elected by the Junior High students and teachers each fall. The student council and the teacher moderators meet every week in the morning before school.
Student Council takes charge of various responsibilities, from acting as hosts and hostesses for school visitors and setting up school assemblies to coordinating community service activities such as collecting toys for the Seven Hills Neighborhood Services’ Christmas store in the East End and a February food drive.
SCOUTS
Cub Scout Pack 146 is a family program that supports family values—do your best, be honest, have a duty to family, God, and country—and family involvement. Pack 146 has active Dens in every grade level from 1st through 5th grade.
Boy Scout Troop 170 was first chartered in March 1928. It is open to boys aged 10-18.
